206. Edwin Mapp⁶ Boggs (Hester Adelaide⁵ Mapp, Catherine C.⁴ Ames, Margaret Blair³ Christian, Catharine² Ker, Edward¹)⁽¹⁵⁹³⁾ was born in Accomack Co, VA 5 Jan 1859. Edwin died 1920 at 61 years of age.⁽¹⁵⁹⁴⁾ His body was interred in Onancock Cem, Acc Co, VA.⁽¹⁵⁹⁵⁾

He married Margaret D. 'Maggie' Custis 22 Dec 1886 in Accomack Co, VA.⁽¹⁵⁹⁶⁾ He was shown as Edwin M. Boggs, a 27 year old merchant, the son of Levi R. & Hester A. Boggs and she was shown as Maggie D. Custis, age 24, the daughter of Edward R. Pamelia A. Custis. They were married at the bride's home by R.A. Compton.

Margaret was born 1862 in Accomack Co, VA.⁽¹⁵⁹⁷⁾ Margaret⁽¹⁵⁹⁸⁾ was the daughter of Edward R. Custis and Pamelia A. Joynes. Margaret died 1928 at 66 years of age.⁽¹⁵⁹⁹⁾ Her body was interred in Onancock Cem, Acc Co, VA.⁽¹⁶⁰⁰⁾

Edwin was listed with his parents in the census of 1860 in Locust Mount PO, St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA.⁽¹⁶⁰¹⁾ He was shown as Edwin M. Boggs, age 1 in HH#926 headed by Levi R. Boggs, a 35 year old farmer.

Edwin was listed with his parents in the census of 1870 in Locust Mount PO, St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA.⁽¹⁶⁰²⁾ He was shown as Edwin M. Boggs, age 11 in HH#LM703 headed by Levi R. Boggs, a 45 year old farmer.

Edwin was listed as a head of household in the census of 1900 Lee District, Acc Co, VA.⁽¹⁶⁰³⁾ He was shown as a merchant and head of HH#334.

He made a will 28 May 1919.⁽¹⁶⁰⁴⁾ He gave his home place and all other real estate at and near Cashville to wife Maggie, except his interest in the storehouse and lot, and interest in the Edward T. Nock land, home place, etc., and after her death to our 5 children: Edwin Paul, George C., Pamela A. Lofland, Margaret E. & Grace M. Boggs equally. To sones Edwin & George he left stock of goods, etc. in the storehouse at Cashville, in the business known as E.M. Boggs & Sons. His half interest in the storehouse and lot property at Cashville and in said Nock land, etc., plus residue of estate to 5 children. Witnesses were Richard Lloyd, J.H. Dodson. Edwin Paul Boggs qualified as administrator.

Edwin's will was probated 17 Dec 1920.⁽¹⁶⁰⁵⁾

Edwin Mapp Boggs and Margaret D. 'Maggie' Custis had the following children:

256 i. Frank Lane E.⁷ Boggs⁽¹⁶⁰⁶⁾ was born in Accomack Co, VA Mar 1888. Frank died before 1919.

257 ii. Edwin Paul Boggs⁽¹⁶⁰⁷⁾ was born in St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA 6 May 1888.⁽¹⁶⁰⁸⁾ He was shown as Edwin P. Boggs, son of Edwin M. Boggs, a merchant living in St. George Parish #2 & Maggie his wife. His father gave the information. Edwin died 1950 at 62 years of age.⁽¹⁶⁰⁹⁾ His body was interred in Onancock Cem, Acc Co, VA.⁽¹⁶¹⁰⁾ His tombstone shows him as E. Paul Boggs.

258 iii. George Custis Boggs was born in Accomack Co, VA 13 Feb 1890.⁽¹⁶¹¹⁾ George died 29 Jan 1957 at 66 years of age.⁽¹⁶¹²⁾ His body was interred in Onancock Cem, Acc Co, VA.⁽¹⁶¹³⁾ He married Lucy Esther Finney circa 1914.⁽¹⁶¹⁴⁾ Lucy was born 23 Feb 1892 in Montgomery Co, PA.⁽¹⁶¹⁵⁾ Lucy⁽¹⁶¹⁶⁾ was the daughter of John Smith 'Jack' Finney and Elizabeth A.M. 'Bettie' Parker. Lucy died 29 May 1933 at 41 years of age.⁽¹⁶¹⁷⁾ Her body was interred in Onancock Cem, Acc Co, VA.⁽¹⁶¹⁸⁾ Her tombstone shows her as Lucy Finney Boggs, wife of George C. Boggs.

They lived in Cashville, where George farmed & helped in the family mercantile & barrel business; moved to Lancaster Co, PA, where he managed a paint store, but in five years he moved back to Onancock, where he had a grocery store.⁽¹⁶¹⁹⁾

259 iv. Pamela Adelaide Boggs⁽¹⁶²⁰⁾ was born in Accomack Co, VA 27 Aug 1893.⁽¹⁶²¹⁾ Pamela died 15 Oct 1980 at 87 years of age.⁽¹⁶²²⁾ Her body was interred in Onancock Cem, Acc Co, VA.⁽¹⁶²³⁾ She married Cecil Alfred Lofland 10 Dec 1913 in Onley, Acc Co, VA.⁽¹⁶²⁴⁾ Cecil was born 10 Jun 1881 in Accomack Co, VA.⁽¹⁶²⁵⁾ Cecil⁽¹⁶²⁶⁾ was the son of Dr. James H.A. Lofland and Catherine Rose 'Kate' Finney. Cecil died 20 May 1956 at 74 years of age.⁽¹⁶²⁷⁾ His body was interred in Onancock Cem, Acc Co, VA.⁽¹⁶²⁸⁾

260 v. Margaret E. Boggs⁽¹⁶²⁹⁾ was born in Accomack Co, VA Dec 1894.

261 vi. Grace M. Boggs⁽¹⁶³⁰⁾ was born in Accomack Co, VA Jun 1899.⁽¹⁶³¹⁾ Grace died 1957 at 58 years of age.⁽¹⁶³²⁾ Her body was interred in Onancock Cem, Acc Co, VA.⁽¹⁶³³⁾ Her tombstone shows her as Grace M. Boggs.
