3. Catharine2 Ker (Edward1)(50) was born in Accomack Co, VA circa 1759.(51) Catharine died before 9 Nov 1799 at approximately 40 years of age.(52) She was probably deceased when her husband William Christian wrote his will on 9 Nov 1799 as she was not mentioned and others were named to care for his children. In a land cause of 4 Mar 1801, she was shown as Catherine Christian, dec'd, a sister to Edward Ker the younger, also dec'd. Her children were shown as Margaret, William, John & George Edward Christian.

She married Capt. William Christian circa 1775.(53) William was born circa 1750. William(54) was the son of William Christian and Keziah Johnson. William died Jan 1800 at 49 years of age.(55)

Catharine was named in her father's will 17 May 1786 in Accomack Co, VA.(56) She was named as daughter Catharine Christian in the will of Edward Ker. Daughters Jean Scarbrough, Catharine Christian & Ann Revell were given the lands I hold in Gloucestor containing 243 1/4 acres.

Catharine Ker and Capt. William Christian had the following children:

child + 20 ii. William Armistead Christian was born circa 1784.

child 21 iii. John Christian(57) was born in Northampton Co, VA circa 1786. John was named in his father's will 9 Nov 1799 in Northampton Co, VA.(58) He was shown as a son John Christian (under age) in the will of William Christian. To my sons John Christian and George Edward Christian the rest of my estate with the exception of 2/3 of the land rent until my son William is of lawful age. My friend John S. Ker to supervise the estate of my son John.

John was named in a land cause 4 Mar 1801 in St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA.(59) He was shown as John Christian, a son of Catherine Christian dec'd and a nephew of Edward Ker the younger.

child 22 iv. George Edward Christian(60) was born in Northampton Co, VA circa 1788. George was named in his father's will 9 Nov 1799 in Northampton Co, VA.(61) He was shown as a son George Edward Christian (under age) in the will of William Christian. To my sons John Christian and George Edward Christian the rest of my estate with the exception of 2/3 of the land rent until my son William is of lawful age. Friend David Bowman to supervise the estate of my son George.

George was named in a land cause 4 Mar 1801 in St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA.(62) He was shown as George Edward Christian, a son of Catherine Christian dec'd and a nephew of Edward Ker the younger.

George was named as an heir of Rev War Vetran 31 Jan 1825 in Accomack Co, VA.(63) In the estate settlement of David Bowman, he was shown as George E. Christian your ward and received £38.12.5 of the estate of Edward Ker Jr. He was also shown as Edward Christian orphan and Zoro Ames paid for rent due the orphan £30.0.0. (Note: The settlement was finally recored on 31 Jan 1825, but the actual payment may have been years earlier, as David Bowman died in 1805.)
