West was born at the "Warehouse" near Bobtown. Catharine died 1939 at 87 years of age.⁽¹⁰⁸²⁾ Her body was interred in Belle Haven Cem, Acc Co, VA.⁽¹⁰⁸³⁾ Her tombstone shows her as Katherine West Wyatt, wife of William J. Wyatt.

She married William J. Wyatt 12 Feb 1877 in Northampton Co, VA.⁽¹⁰⁸⁴⁾ He was shown as William J. Wyatt, a 31 year old widowed merchant, born in Acc Co & living in N'hamp Co, the son of James & Virginia Wyatt and she was shown as Catharine S. West, age 24, born in Acc Co & living in N'hamp Co, the daughter of M.W. & Margaret West. They were married by Rev. Edward Hebard.
