66. John Asbury⁴ Ames (Margaret Blair³ Christian, Catharine² Ker, Edward¹)⁽⁷²³⁾ was born in Accomack Co, VA circa 1806. John died Nov 1841 at 35 years of age.⁽⁷²⁴⁾

He married Adelaide Hack 22 Nov 1831 (bond) in Accomack Co, VA.⁽⁷²⁵⁾ Richard P. Read was the security on the M.L.B. of John A. Ames and Adelaide Hack.

Adelaide was born circa 1810 in Accomack Co, VA. Adelaide⁽⁷²⁶⁾ was the daughter of Dr. Peter Hack Jr. and Anna Maria Parker.

John was named in his father's will 3 Dec 1809 in Accomack Co, VA.⁽⁷²⁷⁾ He was shown as a son John Asbury Ames in the will of Zorobabel Ames.

John was named as an heir of Rev War Vetran 26 Sep 1834 in St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA.⁽⁷²⁸⁾ He was shown as a step-son John A. Ames and named an Extr. along with son-in-law John D. Mapp in the will of Richard Ames.

John was named in his uncle's will 20 Apr 1839 in Northampton Co, VA.⁽⁷²⁹⁾ He was shown as a nephew John A. Ames in the will of William A. Christian.

John's estate was administered 29 Nov 1841 in Accomack Co, VA.⁽⁷³⁰⁾ It was on this date that George C. Ames was named to settle the estate of John A. Ames. George S. Mapp was the security.

John Asbury Ames and Adelaide Hack had the following child:

146 i. Charlotte E.C. 'Lottie'⁵ Ames⁽⁷³¹⁾ was born in Accomack Co, VA circa 1834.⁽⁷³²⁾ She married Thomas H. Perrie 19 Oct 1860 in Accomack Co, VA.⁽⁷³³⁾ He was shown as Thomas H. Perrie, a 22 year old farmer, born & living in Prince George Co (assumed to be MD) (parents not shown) and she was shown as Charlotte E.C. Ames, age 25, born & living in Acc Co, the daughter of Jno. A. & Adelida Ames. They were married by J. Crosdale and James H. Parker said they were both over age 21.

Thomas was born circa 1838 in Andrews Air Force Base, Prince George Co, MD.⁽⁷³⁴⁾

Charlotte was listed with another family in the cenus of 1850 in St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA.⁽⁷³⁵⁾ She was shown as Charlotte E.C. Ames, age 16 in HH#846 headed by Ann M. Hack, age 68.
