Sally was listed with her parents in the census of 1850 in St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA.⁽⁹⁰⁹⁾ She was shown as Sally E. Wise, age 17 in HH#442 headed by Frederick C.A. Kellam, a 35 year old physican with real estate valued at $1,800. Also listed was Eliza E. Kellam, age 44, who was evidently her mother by a prior marriage.
