She married Samuel P. Fisher II 3 Oct 1844 (lic) in Worcester Co, MD.⁽⁶⁹⁹⁾ They were shown only as Samuel P. Fisher and Mary C. Smith. No other information was given.

Samuel was born circa 1817 in Northampton Co, VA.⁽⁷⁰⁰⁾ Samuel⁽⁷⁰¹⁾ was the son of Samuel P. Wise Fisher I and Susan B. Pettitt.

Mary was named in her mother's will 11 Sep 1849 in Accomack Co, VA.⁽⁷⁰²⁾ She was shown as a duaghter Mary C.S. Fisher in the will Eliza K. Smith.

Mary was listed with her mother in the census of 1850 in St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA.⁽⁷⁰³⁾ She was shown as Mary C. Fisher, age 26, in HH#816 headed by Elizabeth K. Smith, age 60 and farming with real estate valued at $2,000. Wilmer W. Fisher, age 5, Ellison D. Fisher, age 1, and Samuel Fisher, age 33 and a sailor, were also listed in this household, along with a James T.C. Smith, age 21 and farming.

She was listed as a resident in the census report 1860 in Northampton Co, VA.⁽⁷⁰⁴⁾

Fisher, age 5 in HH#816 headed by Eliza E. Smith, a 60 year old farmer with real estate valued at $2,000. Also listed were the following Fishers: Mary C., age 26, Wilmer W., age 5; Ellison D., age 1; and Sam'l P. Fisher, a 33 year old sailor, who was evidently his father.
