29. Margaret Shepherd3 Ker (Rev. George2, Edward1)(356) was born in Accomack Co, VA 27 Mar 1797.(357) Margaret died 10 Jan 1832 in Newtown, CT, at 34 years of age.(358) A note in the George Ker Family Bible shows she died suddenly at the age of 34 years, 9 months and 14 days.

She married Rev. Samuel C. Stratton 1 Nov 1823 (bond) in Accomack Co, VA.(359) Edward H. Ker was the security on the 1 Nov 1823 M.L.B. of Samuel C. Stratton and Margaret S. Ker of Geo. According to Shippen, Margaret Shepherd Ker, only daughter of George Ker, of "Cessford," Scotland, and Sarah Parker, his wife, married Rev. James Stratton, of Connecticut. The George Ker Family Bible shows they were married on 17 Nov 1824.

Samuel was born circa 1793 in New Jersey.(360)

Margaret was named in a land cause 4 Mar 1801 in St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA.(361) She was shown as Margaret Ker, a daughter of Geroge Ker dec'd and a niece of Edward Ker the younger, dec'd.

Margaret Shepherd Ker and Rev. Samuel C. Stratton had the following children:

Stratton, a 56 year old E.P. minister, who was born in NJ.

child 76 iii. Virginia Stratton(366) was born in Newtown, CT 21 Dec 1831. Virginia died 31 Dec 1831 in Newtown, CT, at less than one year of age.

child 77 iv. Heber Stratton(367) was born in Newtown, CT 21 Dec 1831. Heber died 27 Mar 1832 in Newtown, CT, at less than one year of age. According to information sent by Geo. T. Linsley from the Rectory, Newtown, Conn. to Dr. George Kerr on 3 Mar 1892, Heber, a twin son of the Rev. S.C. Stratton, died of dropsy in the brain at the age of 3 months and 5 days.
