She married Smith U. Snead circa 1792.(193) According to Shippen: Margaret Ker (althought Shippen had the wrong Margaret) married Mr. Snead, of Accomac County, and had one son, Smith Snead, Esqr., who married Miss Dennis and left three daughters and two sons. One daughter, Susan Dennis Snead, married Mr. Charles Snead, and resides in Baltimore, MD, and has one daughter, Susan Dennis Snead. The others included: Margaret Ker Snead, unmarried; Elizabeth Snead, died; Edward Snead, died; and _____ Snead, died.
Smith was born circa 1750 in Northampton Co, VA. Smith died Nov 1792 at 42 years of age.(194)
Margaret was named in her father's will 17 May 1786 in Accomack Co, VA.(195) She was shown as a daughter Margaret in the will of Edward Ker and was given her board with either of her my sons she may incline to live with, & should she choose to board elsewhere I bequeath her 12 £ per annum while she remains single to be paid by my 4 sons, 3 £ each.
When her husband Smith Snead's will was probated on 11 Dec 1792, Margaret Snead, widow of the dec'd, relinquished her right.(196)
Margaret's estate was administered 12 Feb 1798 in Northampton Co, VA.(197) It was on this date that John Shepherd Kerr was named to settle the estate of Margaret Snead, in the place of William Snead, dec'd.
Margaret was named in a land cause 4 Mar 1801 in St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA.(198) He was shown as Margaret Snead, dec'd, a sister of Edward Ker the younger, also dec'd. She had a son Smith Snead, who was a nephew of Edward Ker the younger, dec'd.
