He was the son of George Herbert Powell and Armithia Maud Mapp.  Grandfather of Pat Scherzinger.

Hilda Louise Barnes - born 10 Mar 1925 in Bridgetown, Northampton Co., VA, died 14 Dec 1991, in Nassawadox, Northampton Co., VA, buried 18 Dec 1991 in Wachapreague Cemetery.  Married to Ray Barnes (1929-1991).  Aunt Hilda passed away 2 weeks to the day after Uncle Ray.  She was the daughter of Victor Mapp Powell and Emory Sara Lee Mapp Powell.  Aunt of Pat Scherzinger.

Geraldine Virginia Powell - born 7 Jul 1923, Norfolk, VA.  She is the daughter of Victor Mapp Powell and Emory Sara Lee Mapp Powell. Mother of Pat Scherzinger.
