Discovering our Jamestown Ancestors

     The group known as GHOTES (Genealogy & History of the Eastern Shore) of Virginia will help Jamestown era descendants trace their ancestors. GHOTES research and resources will be distributed and discussed at several local workshops throughout 2007, on a bus trip to Jamestown in May 2007 and at the GHOTES Conference in Sept 2007.

     To support this effort a series of books is being published by Colonial Roots of Lewes, DE, entitled: Colonial Families of the Eastern Shore of Virginia and a portion of the GHOTES web site at www.ghotes.net will be devoted to finding Jamestown era ancestors.

Dates and Times: Thu, Sep 20, 2007 to Sat, Sep 22, 2007
Thursday Sept 20, 6:00 pm - Registration, pick up packets and enjoy an informal social time meeting other participants. Location to be at "Meant to Be" in Craddockville, Va. (next door to Craddockville Methodist Church)
Friday Sept 21, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; Presentations and from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm Ghotes Dinner.- Both at the Captain's Deck Restaurant in Nassawadox, Va.
Saturday 9:00am to 2:00pm Workshops at the Captain's Deck.
Saturday 4:00 pm Tea Time at "Meant to Be" in Craddockville, Va.

Price: $49 for 3 day conference/workshops and Tea Time (Does not include any meals - lunch or the Ghotes Dinner.) Tickets for the Ghotes Dinner may be purchased for $22.50, at registration on Thursday evening..
Breakfast and lunches can be purchased on your own at the Captain's Deck.
